Like lambs to a slaughter
Chained in bondages
They lay bed ridden
Wrapped in deathly fear
Bleeding and wrecked
Breathing nightmares
Clinging weakly to life
Sunset written all over
Faces of their caretakers
Morning light only hope
Reality sinking as night falls
Bitter pepper like cries
Screams louder by minute
The enormous pain
Throwing up to the last bit
Dark scary shadows
Heads cracking and bursting
Red sheets and blankets
Yet pills and more pills
As the doctor said
Soon they fall asleep
Waiting for judgment
That is already known
Whispered in the corridors
And nobody surely deserves
This terrible mother monster
To hell with CANCER!
